Qualifications for Donations from Reboot

Recycled computer equipment is redistributed by Reboot with only a nominal charge to qualified individuals and non-profit organizations (especially educational, religion-based or other charitable groups), see MAR Fee. Reboot helps religious organizations, schools, senior centers, and other groups that work with low and moderate income families, and other needy, local clients.

Each prospective organizational receipient needs to be a local, non-profit group that provides to Reboot a current 501(c)(3) acknowledgement from the IRS designating the receipient group as a non-profit organization.

Prospective individual receipients must bring one of the following proofs of eligibility to their Reboot pickup:

  • a referral letter from a non-profit organization serving low-income or disabled clients, with a notation that the prospective receipient is a low-income or disabled person, or
  • a copy of the prospective receipient's current SSA (U.S. Social Security Administration) award letter or a current form letter from a government welfare agency stating that the receipient is of low income.
